At the night of 1 July, three females including a child was killed, and a male was injured in a reckless attack carried out by so-called PDF terrorists, using heavy weapons, towards Kawlin Township, Sagaing Region.
The incident happened that, on 1 July at 12:20 AM, so-called PDF terrorists fired heavy weapons targeting at the Township General Administration office located in Kyaw Zayar ward (1), Kawlin Township of Sagaing region. The attack originated from a location approximately 500 meters west of the Town. During the attack, the projectiles from the heavy weapons landed and exploded on a house located approximately 150 meters southwest of the office, resulting in the death of three women, including an eight-year-old child who were asleep at the time. Additionally, a male individual was seriously injured. The injured individual was transported to the Kawlin Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who recklessly attacked with heavy weapons towards a town where innocent civilians reside, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
