In regions and states, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars, and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 29 July at 08:00 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number-under scrutiny) opened fire with improvised mortars towards Wards in Pale Township of Sagaing Region. The improvised mortar shells landed and exploded within northern Ward. As a result of the explosions, U Ko Ko Lay, 49 years old (Father) U Phyu Htwar, Daw Yin Htwe Mon, 43 years old (Father) U Bo Lune, and Daw Mhae Kyi, 66 years old (Father) U Ba Wai, who all live in this Ward, sustained injuries from shell shrapnel. They were transported to a military Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 03:40 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number-under scrutiny) launched an attack by dropping bombs using a drone on Shwepaukpin Ward of Pauk Township in Magway Region. The bombs landed and detonated within the Ward. As a result of the explosions, a Grade 10 female student Ma Mya Lay Khine, 16 years old (Father) U Min Zaw, who lives in this Ward, sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel and was transported to the Pauk Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who recklessly opened fire improvised mortars and dropped bombs using a drone towards Wards and Villages, resulting in injuries to innocent civilians and a female student, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
