Three innocent civilians, including a child, were dead and two others were injured due to recklessly fired with heavy weapons by so-called PDF terrorists within the villages

     In States and Regions, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating public roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars, and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 24 January at 5:30 PM, a report stated that a female sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel arrived at Mandalay Public Hospital. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Ma Ei Ei Khine (17 years old), who lives in Sainainglay Village of Wetlet Township, Sagaing Region, had sustained an injury to her right arm from bomb shrapnel. The incident was verified that on the same day, around 9:20 AM, Ma Ei Ei Khine was at her home when a heavy weapon shell, fired by so-called PDF terrorists, exploded near her house, resulting in the aforementioned injury, it is reported.
     Likewise, at 5:45 PM, a report stated that individuals who were dead and injured from bomb shrapnel had arrived at Myitchae Circuit Hospital in Pakokku Township, Magway Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Tin Win (63 years old), and his wife, Daw Kalama (60 years old), who both lived in Yaenanchat Village of Pakokku Township, had died from bomb shrapnel injuries. Their grandsons, Mg Htut Khaung Lin (11 years old), and Mg Ye Lin Htut (eight years old) sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel. The incident was verified that on the same day, at around 11:30 AM, while they were bathing at the bank of the Irrawaddy River near Yaenanchat Village, a heavy weapon shell fired by so-called PDF terrorists, exploded, resulting in the aforementioned deaths and injuries. The two injured boys were transferred from Myitchae Circuit Hospital to Nyaung-U District Public Hospital. Unfortunately, Mg Ye Lin Htut was dead from his injuries while being under medical treatment, it is reported.
     Security personnel are conducting an investigation into the incidents involving attacks with heavy weapons in the Villages, which resulted in the earlier mentioned deaths and injuries. The aim of this investigation is to take punitive action against the terrorists involved. This action is in accordance with the law and is geared towards upholding stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
