So-called PDF terrorists carried out a bombing attack using a drone on the Basic Education High School (Pale) located in Northern Ward of Pale Town, Sagaing Region. As a result, three male students, who were attending classes at the school, sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel, it is reported.
The incident occurred on 22 January, at around 9:00 AM, when a group of approximately 10 members of so-called PDF terrorists carried out an attack by dropping two bombs using a drone. The attack originated from fields approximately 1500 meters northeast of the Basic Education High School (Pale), located in the Northern Ward of Pa Le Town. The bombs exploded on the open ground near the school's entrance gate. As a result of the explosions, three male students who were attending classes at the school-Mg Nyi Khant Zaw (15 years old) from Grade-8, Mg Lin Pyae Aung (14 years old) from Grade-7, and Mg Min Pyae Aung (12 years old) from Grade-4 sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel. Security personnel promptly provided necessary medical treatment.
As of now, the school has 150 students under the instruction of dedicated teachers. Security personnel are actively conducting an investigation into the incidents involving the dropping of a bomb using a drone at the school, which is a non-military target and evidently intended to disrupt the students' education and cause the injuries mentioned earlier. The primary objective of this investigation is to take punitive action against the terrorists responsible. This course of action is in accordance with the law and is aimed at upholding stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
