In regions and states, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts by detonating roads and bridges, as well as dropping bombs and firing heavy arms on the non-military targets, such as Ward and Villages where innocent civilians reside.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 5 July at 07:00 PM, an armed insurgent group (total number-under scrutiny) recklessly opened fire a heavy weapon towards Pwintlinmyaing Village in Myawady Township of Kayin State. During the attack, a projectile from the heavy weapon landed and exploded in front of the house of U Than Tun, 62 years old (Father) U Pane, who lives in this Village, resulting in injuries to U Than Tun due to heavy weapon’s projectile shrapnel, it is reported.
Similarly, at 09:00 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number-under scrutiny) recklessly opened fire improvised mortars towards Hnamasaryit Village in Shwebo Township of Sagaing Region. During the attack, improvised mortar bombs landed exploded in front of the houses of Ko Soe Thu, 36 years old (Father) U Thein Htay, and U Than Win, 65 years old (Father) U Phoe Khin, who both lived in this Village, resulting in injuries to Ko Soe Thu and U Than Win due to bomb shrapnel, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who recklessly attacked with a heavy weapon and improvised mortars towards Villages where innocent civilians reside, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
