Township Electric Office building and electrical equipment were damaged as a result of a small arms attack by so-called PDF terrorists to the “Phoe Thee Cho” private electric power plant in Palaw Township, Tanintharyi Region.
The incident occurred that, on 4 May at 12:00 PM, approximately 50 so-called PDF terrorists arrived at “Phoe Thee Cho” private electric power plant in Palaw Township and attacked with small arms. As a result of the attack, the back side of the township electrical engineering office building, located within the compound of the power plant, was destroyed and burned down. Additionally, one 1000 KVA transformer, a one-story building built with zinc roof and brick wall, which was about 30 feet long and 20 feet wide, three 500 KVA diesel engines, 30 diesel metal barrels and three Sicrop Penal used as a buffer of electric were damaged in the attack, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating to take punitive action against those terrorists who attacked at the private electric power plant, as soonest in line with law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
