Two electric towers, which connected Kamarnet electricity substation to the Tharyarkone substation in Nyaunglaybin Township, collapsed and were damaged due to detonation by so-called PDF terrorists

     Two electric towers, which connected Kamarnet electricity substation to the Tharyarkone substation near Sonekone Village in Nyaunglaybin Township, collapsed and were damaged due to detonation by so-called PDF terrorists, it is reported.
     The incident occurred that, on 19 November at 07:30 AM, according to the report indicated that so-called PDF terrorists detonated explosive devices at electric towers No. (44) and (45) situated in the field located north of Sonekone Village in Nyaunglaybin Township. These towers were part of the power line connecting the Kamarnet and Tharyarkone substations. Security personnel went to the scene and conducted an inspection. The investigation found that terrorists blew up these towers. As a result of the explosion, both towers collapsed and sustained significant damage (estimated at approximately 300 lakhs) by explosion. Responsible officials are currently engaged in repairing these towers, it is reported.
     Security personnel are continue taking necessary measures to take punitive legal actions against the terrorists who blew up the electric towers as soonest in accordance with the law, it is reported.
