In States and Regions, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars, and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 26 September at 09:35 PM, so-called PDF terrorists recklessly dropped two bombs using a drone onto Zeephyukone Village of Pale Township in Sagaing Region. The bombs landed and exploded on a vacant ground within the Village. As a result of the explosions, U Than Aye (64 years old) and his wife Daw Than Htay (61 years old), who both live in this Village, sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel to their heads, waists and thighs. Security personnel went to the scene, conducted an inspection and provided necessary medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who attacked with drop bombs using a drone, aiming to kill and injure innocent civilians, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
