      Two innocent civilians, a man and a woman, were killed due to the wanton firing of heavy weapons by KKO (Split) group and so-called PDF terrorists to Kawkareik Township in Kayin State, it is reported.
      The incident happened that, on 28 May at 12:00 PM, U Phoe Kyar, (Father) U Maung Naing, and his wife Daw Khin Myat Htway, (Father) U Myint Oo, who both lives in Kawytthit (3) Street of No. 7 Ward in Kawkareik Town, were preparing to travel to the Town on a motorcycle when KKO (Split) group and so-called PDF terrorists wantonly opened fire heavy weapons from Taungkyar Village towards Kawkareik Town. A heavy weapon shell fell and exploded in front of their house, resulting in the fatal injuries of both individuals from the shrapnel caused by the heavy weapon explosion, it is reported.
      Security personnel transported the deceased bodies to the Kawkareik Public Hospital for further examination and are now taking necessary security measures, it is reported.
