In regions and states, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating public roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 24 November at 08:30 PM, a report stated that two deceased individuals and two others with bomb shrapnel injuries had been arrived at the Township Public Hospital in Phyu Town, Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the inspection, it was found that Daw Pyar Win (60 years old) and Daw San Mhe (60 years old), were found dead with bomb shrapnel. Additionally, Daw Nyein Mhom (85 years old) and Mg Htet Arkar Lin (9 years old), were found with injuries from bomb shrapnel on their hands and backs. All individuals were residents of Yaetwinkone Village in Phyu Town ship. The incident was verified that, around 07:00 PM on the same day, while they were present in their houses, two mortar shells fired by a collaborative group consisting armed insurgents and so-called PDF terrorists exploded within the village. This resulted in their deaths and the aforementioned injuries, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who attacked with a mortar, causing innocent civilians to deaths and to sustain injuries, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
