Two Innocent Civilians Injured in Improvised Rocket Attack on Village by Terrorist Insurgents

     Terrorist insurgents have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards and villages.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 25 July, 2024 at 1:30 PM, security personnel received a report stating that two women with shrapnel injuries had arrived at Nyaung-U Township Public Hospital in Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the Hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were Daw Yi Yi Cho (aka) Ma Aye Aye Myint (30 years old) and her daughter, Ma Aeim Mwae San (14 years old) both residents of Oak Kyaung Village in Pakokku Township of Magway Region. The incident occurred when a so-called PDF terrorist group fired improvised rockets at the victims village. One of the improvised rocket shells exploded within the village, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.
     Due to the heinous acts of armed insurgents and terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians including children are killed and injured. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
