Two Innocent Civilians Shot Dead by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Taungwingyi Township of Magway Region

     In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of "spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 20 May 2025 at 6:20 AM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Sel Gyi Village, Taungwingyi Township of Magway Region. When security personnel conducted further investigation, they discovered that the victim was identified as U Pyae Phyo Maung (aka) Nga Pyae (37 years old), a resident of the village. The incident occurred while he was traveling to Sat Twar Village on his motorcycle. When he reached the Sat Twar-Gway Tauk Kone Village commutable dirt road, five so-called PDF terrorists who had been following him on three motorcycles, opened fire on him. As a result, U Pyae Phyo Maung (aka) Nga Pyae died on the spot, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 12:45 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Gway Tauk Kone Village, Taungwingyi Township. When security personnel conducted further investigation, they discovered that the victim was identified as U Ye Khine (47 years old), a resident of the village. The incident occurred while he was at his house, three so-called PDF terrorists arriving by two motorcycles and opened fire on him accusing him of being a “decoy”. As a result, U Ye Khine died on the spot, it is reported.
     Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
