In regions and states, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars, and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 24 August at 05:30 AM, KNU members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists launched a reckless attack by dropping a bomb using a drone onto Nyaungchayhtauk Village in Kanyutkwin Town of Phyu Township in Bago Region. The bomb landed and exploded on the roof of the house of Mg Thein (aka) U Thein, 58 years old, who lives in this Village. As a result of the explosion, Mg Thein (aka) U Thein who was present in the house, and U Kyaw Zin Oo, 40 years old, who also lives in the same Village and was also present in this house, sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel. Additionally, the explosion caused damage to the three zinc roofs of the house, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against so-called PDF terrorists who recklessly attacked with a drop bomb using a drone on a Village, causing injuries to innocent civilians, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
Two innocent civilians were injured due to a reckless drop bomb attack using a drone carried out by terrorists on Nyaungchayhtauk Village in Phyu Township.
