Two Innocent Civilians were injured as a Result of the reckless and wanton firing of a Heavy Weapon by the KIA Insurgent Group and So-Called PDF Terrorists towards a Village in Hpakant Township

      In regions and states, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts by detonating roads and bridges, as well as dropping bombs and firing heavy arms on the non-military targets, such as Ward and Villages where innocent civilians reside.
      Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 16 May at 12:00 AM, the KIA insurgent group and a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number – under scrutiny) recklessly opened fire with a heavy weapon towards Thapyitphu Village in Hpakant Township, Kachin State. A heavy weapon bullet exploded near a Road at the entrance of the Village, causing injuries to Mg Zaw Sai Li, 18 years old, (Father) U Zaw Lin, who lives in Whaykha Village of Hpakant Township, and Mg Arkar Phyo, 23 years old, (Father) U Myint Ngwe, who lives in Kantharkon Village of Kambalu Township. They were transported to the Myitkyina Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
      Security personnel are investigating to take punitive action against those terrorists who recklessly opened fire with a heavy weapon towards Wards and Villages where innocent civilians reside, as soonest in line with law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
