In states and regions, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars, and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 17 August at 08:30 AM, KIA members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups launched an attack by dropping bombs using a drone towards Padamyar Ward in Katha Township of Sagaing Region. The bombs landed and exploded within the Ward, causing injuries to U San Win (aka) Pho Cho, 49 years old (Father) U Ba Thaung, and Ko Myo Win Thein, 25 years old (Father) U Maung Nge, due to bomb shrapnel. They were transported to the Katha Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
In accordance with security protocols aimed at maintaining regional stability and peace, local military units and security personnel are currently undertaking necessary measures against KIA members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups responsible for dropping bombs on a residential Ward, a non-military target, causing injuries to innocent civilians, it is reported.
