In regions and states, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars, and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 6 August at 11:00 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group launched an attack by dropping bombs using a drone on Nandawun Ward of Monywa Township in Sagaing Region. One of the bombs landed and exploded on the house of U Htet Zaw, 45 years old (Father) U Tin Aung, who lives in this Ward. As a result of the explosion, a zinc roof of the house, and two refrigerators and 15 plastic chairs in the house were destroyed, while Mg Bhone Htet Myat, six years old, U Htet Zaw’s son, sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel. He was transported to the Monywa Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 05:20 PM, a heavy weapon shell fired by a terrorist group (under scrutiny) exploded in a field near Katkyaw monastery located in Thitsarmyaing Street of No. (3) Ward in Myawady Township of Kayin State. As a result of the explosion, Mg Nay Di Yan, 12 years old (Father) U Aung Ko Lat, and Mg Aung Myo Oo, 11 years old (Father) U Ko Myo, who both live in No. (3) Ward and who were herding goats in the field at the time of explosion, sustained injuries from the shell shrapnel, and were transported to the Myawady District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Likewise, at 09:20 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (under scrutiny) opened fire improvised mortars towards Zeephyukone Village in Pale Township of Sagaing Township. The projectiles from the improvised mortars landed and exploded within the Village. As a result of the explosions, Daw Khin Hnin Aye, 51 years old (Father) U Hla Maung, and Daw Moe Moe, 43 years old (Father) U Shein Pwint, who both lived in the Village, were killed from shrapnel injuries, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who recklessly opened fire heavy weapons, improvised mortars and dropped bombs using a drone towards Wards and Villages, resulting in the death of two innocent female civilians and injuries to children, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
A child was injured by the drop bomb attack of the terrorists using a drone in Monywa Township.
Three children were injured by the firing of heavy weapon by the terrorists in Myawady Township.
