Two male terrorists died in a mine explosion while attempting to plat a mine for a terrorist attack in Hpa-An Township, Kayin State, and a pistol, bullets and related materials were seized.
The incident occurred that, on 22 April at 10:40 AM, according to the report that an explosion had occurred near mile-post 0/5 of the Thaton _ Hpa-An Road in Hpa-An Township, Kayin State, security personnel went to the scene and conducted an inspection. According to the investigation, it is found that Myo Min Tun, 38 years old, (Father) U Kyi Tun and Saw Ae Khu (under scrutiny), who both lived in Kamamaung Town, were coming to the scene in a 7G/4948 X-Trial motor vehicle where they preparing to plant a mine which exploded. As a result of the explosion, terrorists, Myo Min Tun and Saw Ae Khu, died from mine injuries, and a Zoraki pistol, a magazine included 7 rounds of bullet, a remote and two hand phones were found and seized near the scene, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security forces are investigating the deceased perpetrators who was attempting to plant a mine, which exploded, to attempt a terrorist attack, in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with laws, and maintain stability and peace in the region.
